Xeneta, an Oslo, Norway leading ocean freight benchmarking and market intelligence software platform, completed a NOK 70M ($8.2M) capital investment round.

The financing was supported by new and existing investors, including Investinor, Smedvig Capital, Creandum, Alliance Ventures and Alden.

Xeneta, founded in 2012 by Thomas Sørbø and Patrik Olstad Berglund, developed an ocean freight price benchmarking and market intelligence platform targeting the shipping and logistics industry. The company's reporting and analytic platform provides shippers and freight forwarders the data they need in real time to compare their shipping prices against the world's largest database of contracted rates.

Prior to this, Xeneta raised almost $19M in external funding.
