Bedrock developed a system which maps soil conditions in connection with construction and road building projects, more rapidly, more simply, and less expensively than current methods. Namely, Bedrock is a seismic instrument to enable on-site analysis to help construction firms get a quick overview of the ground conditions in the planning phase of building projects. Norwegian construction companies see the need for an instrument that reduces uncertainty before digging.

Bedrock was started in 2015 by Kjeller Innovasjon, Norwegian Institute of Aeronautics Research (NILU) and Norsar at Kjeller.
