The company was founded in 2013 by Jakob Armö and Eric Hörberg as a project at KTH Innovation in Stockholm. Today LUP Technologies is a professional team with complementary skills. Our head office is in Stockholm but we operate all over Sweden. LUP Technologies is incubated by the Stockholm Innovation and Growth, STING.

Our long term ambition is to create a global standard for shipping information. Our vision is to help companies solve their specific problems with trucking. We are satisfied when we help you to reach better safety, efficacy and quality.

We founded LUP Technologies to improve communication in the logistics chain. The idea behind the LUP numbesr comes from the time when Jacob Armö, founder of the company, was working as a truck driver. ”I saw obvious problems that could be solved with relatively simple methods,” says Jacob Armö. ”The basis for LUP numbers is to create great benefit throughout the entire logistics chain for each individual. We must all work together toward common goals. Of course, the whole value chain, including the driver, need to participate actively to improve the safety and productivity of the entire road transport sector.”

All are dependent on good logistics. Everyone expects that the logistics will evolve with society. Innovation in society leads to new demands on logistics. A factory is rarely producing to the area nearby. If the logistics do not evolve with the industry productivity lose gain. A chain is no stronger than its weakest link, and a bottleneck determines the flow from a bottle.
