Platome is a biotechnology company founded by Ólafur Eysteinn Sigurjónsson and Sandra Mjöll Jónsdóttir-Buch and provides scientists with high-quality solutions to grow cells and tissues in the laboratory without the use of animal-derived serum. The products, called platelet lysates, are free of animal components, are made from clinically approved material and can be used directly to grow cells and are more suitable than currently used techniques with animal serum.
