Who are the top founder-friendly investors from the Nordics?

Lists with venture investors can be made in multiple ways. Techcrunch made a global one with what they consider to be founder-friendly investors, based on who is perceived to be the more active and engaged investors in the VC industry today. And so a list of 400+ investor recommedations was compiled from suggestions made from 1,200 founders from all over the world.

It is a popularity list, of course - nonetheless, we were of course keen to discover what people think about the little Nordic ecosystem and selected the names of the investors based in Scandinavia, which you can find below.

One of them is from Finland and the rest are Swedish. One of them works for a Singapore-based VC quite active in Europe, another works for a German VC and the rest works for Swedish VC funds. Without further ado, here is the entire list:

Harri Manninen | Play Ventures
 Staffan Helgesson | Creandum
 Lars Jörnow | EQT Ventures
 Pär-Jörgen Pärson | Northzone
 Sophia Bendz | Cherry Ventures

Other Nordic-related mentions:

Paul Murphy - based in Northzone's London office
Taavet Hinrikus - the Estonian founder of Skype and Transferwise, also based in London
Carl Fritjofsson - based in Creandum's San Francisco office.

The entire list and methodology can be consulted here.
