Acwa Robotics secures €1 million.
Acwa Robotics, an Ajjacio (Corsica), France-based robotics developer, announced completing a €1 million ($1.2M) capital funding round.
The money was raised from investors including Calao Finance, Région Sud Investissement and Sofimac Innovation.
The proceeds will be used for opening up an office in Paris in order to accelerate the industrialization of its robots. The money will also allow the development of three prototypes to be finalized and to prepare the industrialization of the first model.
Acwa Robotics, founded in 2018 by Jean-François Rossi and Jean-François Guiderdoni, designs, develops and markets autonomous robotic solutions for the mapping and inspection of drinking water and raw water pipes. Acwa Robotics' robots respond in particular to the problem of water loss, estimated at nearly one billion cubic meters on the French network. Its solutions are aimed at both public water authorities and private operators and may also facilitate the intervention of intermediary market providers such as design offices.
Acwa Robotics has 7 employees in Bastia and in Aix-en-Provence.
