Addressya to raise SEK 12 million more from existing investors.
Addressya, a Stockholm, Sweden-based software startup, announced the completion of a SEK 12 million ($1.4M) capital funding round.
The money was raised from existing investors, including Sverker Thufvesson, the CEO of Lancelot Holding, Johan Andersson, the CEO of the investment company Mellby Gård and the investment company Mel & Me and KTH Holding.
Addressya, founded in 2017 as Map Projects by CEO Karoline Beronius and Maria Cheadle, developed an app that combines GPS data and existing address information with traditional directions like images and landmarks.
The service is widely available for customers in Africa (Rwanda and Uganda), is based on Google's mapping services and is free for private individuals. The company also operates an "addressing as a service" feature aimed at companies that depend on addresses to deliver goods and services.
Addressya raised about $2.6 million, with a $1.6M round announced at the end of 2020.
