Alecta pays $79M for an equity stake in Apotea.

Apotea, a Stockholm, Sweden-based operator of an ecommerce pharmacy, announced getting into an investment agreement for getting the Swedish pension fund manager Alecta as owner in the company.

The deal was made with current owner, AP6, for SEK 768M ($79M) for controlling a 19% equity stake in the company. The transaction values ​​Apotea at approximately SEK 4 billion ($410M).

Apotea was founded by Pär Svärdson and Fabian Fischer, who took over the ownership in Familjeapoteket in 2003. The company operates an online only, full-scale pharmacies and has sales of SEK 2.7bn ($280M).
