Aquazone Oy, Kemira Operon Oy and Suomen Ekolannoite Oy merge their business, become Operon Group Oy.

Aquazone Oy, Kemira Operon Oy and Suomen Ekolannoite Oy, all based in Finland and providing wastewater treatment, chemical water purification and sludge treatment services, announced their intention to merge operations and become Operon Group Oy.

The deal, which has the financial details undisclosed, was supported by investors including Pikespo Invest Oy and Kemira Oyj.

Operon Group, which will start operations on August 9, 2017 led by CEO Mikko Laitinen, will cover a wide range of industrial and municipal wastewater and sludge management needs, employs 35 people and has a turnover of approximately EUR 10 million.

The services of the Operon Group are designed especially for small and medium-sized municipalities that may also need industrial wastewater treatment in their immediate area.
