Beck Pack Systems sold 40% of the company to Kirk Kapital
Beck Pack Systems, a Rønne, Denmark-based manufacturer of packaging materials for the fishing industry, announced getting into an investment agreement for selling 40% of the company to the private equity investor Kirk Kapital.
FInancial details of the deal remained undisclosed. Insepa A/S, the holding company behind Beck Pack, maintains its majority with a continuation of 60 pct. ownership, while Kirk Kapital becomes an active minority owner and joins the board.
Beck Pack Systems, led by chairman of the board Klaus B. Nielsen, has operated in the food packaging market for more than 50 years and sells its cartonnage products to block production across most of the world, including Argentina, Poland, New Zealand, China, The United States, Korea, Peru and Vietnam. 75% of the production takes place at the factory in Rønne, Denmark and the rest in Seattle, USA.
Insepa is the holding company of Espersen and the packaging companies Beck Pack and Cartolit. Insepa is owned 100% by Director J.P.A. Espersen and wife, Mrs Dagny Espersen Foundation. It is a fund whose purpose, in addition to the ownership of Insepa, is solely of charitable and humanitarian nature.
