Belly Balance adds Add Health Media as strategic investors.

Belly Balance, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company provding a digital service for treating IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), announced that it added strategic investment from Add Health Media.

The funding will be used to develop and relaunch the company's new app which will be implemented with a subcontractor based in Umeå, Thnx Innovation. The investment for the development is estimated at SEK 3.5M ($370k).

Belly Balance, founded in 2016 by dieticians Sofia Antonsson and Jeanette Steijer, built a digital on-demand service which provides access to treatment advice for IBS. The treatment is based on the scientifically proven method FODMAP, it takes about 3 weeks and includes 11 steps. IBS is a chronic gastrointestinal disease that affects 15-20% of the population.

Upon launching, in 2016, Belly Balance secured SEK 1M ($123k) from Swedish business angels Robert Johansson and Rogier Krona.
