Bookatreat was acquired by Boka.se

Bookatreat, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company managing a digital business for booking appointments to beauty providers, was acquired by Swedish competitor, also based in Stockholm, Boka.se.

The financial deatils of the deal were not disclosed. Bookatreat's services will be integrated under the name Boka.se and Malin Plank Eduards will continue as CEO and minority owner.

Boka.se provides also booking services but it is a generalist. Bookatreat, founded in 2016 and led by Malin Eduards, provides a mobile application used for booking beauty treatments. The company, which is yet to become profitable, had accounted for about SEK 1M ($100k) in revenues in 2018 and was backed by investors including Aggregate Media and Dynamo Digital Ventures.
