Boom Corp to raise $1.8 million in seed funding backed by VGames.

Boom Corp, a Tampere, Finland-based startup developing mobile-based games, announced that it secured a $1.8 million capital funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by VGames.

Boom Corp, founded in 2020 by Miikka Harjuntausta, Samuli Häyrynen, Kiri Kälkäjä and CEO Minna Eloranta, is working for a first title Boom Slingers, a turn-based battle game that the company calls as “Worms meets Angry Birds” with physics-based action. The game was launched at the end of 2020 and has about 1.5 million players around the world.
