BotsAndUs secured $6 million funding round led by Kindred Capital and Capnamic Ventures
BotsAndUs, a London, UK-based startup that develops full-stack robot systems for public spaces announced that it closed a $6 million equity funding round.
The funding round was raised from investors led by Kindred Capital and Capnamic Ventures, with participation from angel investors from the UK and the US. The company also secured funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme as well as Innovate UK.
Proceeds will be used for growing the team, accelerate robot deployments and explore new products and services in response to a recent surge in demand for automation. Specifically, the startup wants to develop automation solutions for indoor, dynamic spaces, “unstructured environments where people traffic and excessive noise normally create challenges for autonomous robots”.
BotsAndUs, founded in 2015 by Adrian Negoita and Andrei Danescu, develops state of the art robotics and AI products by combining social sciences with human-centred design and cutting edge engineering.
