Cogram, a Berlin, Germany-based B2B software startup building a tool used for making data queries without writing SQL, announced raising a $4.5 million seed funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by the American funds Initialized Capital and Y Combinator.

Cogram, founded in 2021 by Ricardo Wölker and Alexander von Boetticher, is developing a tool used for making data queries without writing SQL as it lets non-technical users get insights from databases without writing code, by translating English instructions to SQL queries. The company says it is working toward a future in which humans can access and manipulate any data through natural language.

Cogram is one the European startups that were part of Y Combinator in the winter of 2022.

Total investments received (USD): 4.5M
