Dishpatch to raise £10 million in a round led by LocalGlobe and a16z.
Dishpatch, a London, UK-based operator of a food delivery platform, completed a £10 million ($13.5M) capital funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by London-based LocalGlobe and Silicon Valley VC a16z, joined by Stride, Entree Capital and Entrepreneur First.
A number of angels also contributed, including Aron Gelbard (Co-Founder and CEO at Bloom & Wild), Mandeep Singh (Co-founder and Founding CEO at Trouva), Songkick’s co-founder Ian Hogarth, Farewill’s co-founder Dan Garrett, and Tracey Dorée, the founder of Llustre and of Kindred Capital.
Dishpatch, founded in 2020 by CEO Peter Butler and James Terry, developed an ecommerce food platform that aims sell quality ready-made meal kits
The company works with local restaurants to offer consumers a pick of weekly meals that are delivered on Fridays. All food is fully cooked at the restaurant but arrives to customers’ homes cold. Customers themselves handle the final heating and preparation, aided by detailed instructions that accompany that food.
Dishpatch works as a marketplace and says it onboarded 25 restaurant aboe to make deliveries to the London area.
