Emballagegruppen (Good Food Group) was acquired by the Germans from Schur.

Emballagegruppen, a Vejle, Denmark-based food producer announced that it was acquired by the Danish packaging group Schur.

Th deal was made with existing owner, private equity company Maj Invest Equity, which at the beginning of 2019 acquired the family-owned company Good Food Group in Vejle, to which Emballagegruppen was affiliated as a 100% owned subsidiary until the transfer to Maj Invest Equity.

Emballagegruppen A/S which produces carton packaging and label products at two separate locations in Vejle, has a turnover of approx. DKK 180 million (EUR 25 million) and employs 130 people.

Schur, led by CEO Hans Schur, is an international team of 12 companies, offering packaging, packaging machines, packaging systems, and knowhow. Schur has a staff of about 850 persons employed at factories in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Australia and the USA.
