Engaging Care secured $2.8M from Crowberry Capital and Connect Ventures.
Engaging Care, a Malmö, Sweden-based company developing a digital solutions for the consumer healthcare, announced completing a €2.5M ($2.8M) seed investment round.
The round money was provided by UK venture capital firm Connect Ventures and Iceland-based Crowberry Capital.
Engaging Care, founded in 2015 by Annica Carnbring Belfrage and Charlotta Tönsgård (CEO), built a mobile application allowing healthcare providers to connect with their patients. The app, which was launched at the end of 2018, enables its users to find information about diseases and change their lifestyles according to new habits. Caregivers are able to access and keep track of their patients’ progress.
The company, which employs 17 people, makes money by selling the solution to the healthcare professionals, working already with several clinics in Sweden, including the three largest university hospitals.
Prior to this deal, Engaging Care raised almost $1M, from early stage investors based in the Nordics, including Erik Byrenius, Futuristic VC, Hampus Jakobsson, Scanicus Invest, Sophia Bendz and The Nordic Web Ventures.
