Whalebone secured $1M in fresh funding

Whalebone, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company operating a digital music community, announced raising SEK 10M ($1M) in a capital raise.

The funding was provided by investors including Rutger Arnhult, who will control 10% of the company post transaction.

Whalebone Interactive, founded as Melobee in 2017 by CEO Edward Cederlund and Mats Wahlström, built an online platform helping artists live-stream their performances for fans from around the globe.

Prior to this deal, Whalebone raised almost $2M from outside investors.
