Estrid raises $18 million in funding from local angel investors from Sweden.

Estrid, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup building a DTC operation, announced that it raised a funding round of SEK 150 million ($18M).

The money was raised from a range of local investors from Sweden, including Camsten, Mattias Miksche, Josefin Landgård and Johan Blomqvist.

Camsten's Susanna Campbell will also work for the company as chairman of the board.

Estrid, founded in 2019 by CEO Amanda Westerbom, Ben Eliass and Alan Aygun, is working for creating an e-commerce business based on selling online female razor and body care brands against a subscription. According to the Swedish media, both business concept and communication are identical of an American company founded in 2015.

In 2019, Estrid had sales of SEK 8.2 million ($1M).
