Freesense secures capital investment from Vækstfonden Venture
Freesense, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based company manufacturing high-tech wireless, online sensor particles for liquid analysis, announced securing an investment funding round in capital added to the company.
The backing, which has the financials undisclosed, was made by Danish State owned Vækstfonden Venture, and the money will be used to accelerate the development and internationalization of its unique technology for the bio industry.
Freesense, founded in 2016 as a spinout from the BIOPRO and the Danish Technical University (DTU) and led by CEO Niels Jensen, is designing and producing high-tech wireless, online sensor particles for liquid analysis in industrial, biopharmaceutical and speciality food and beverage companies.
Both the sensors and the electronics in our sensor particles are designed and tested specifically for harsh production environments capable of withstanding autoclave and high temperature production. The particles are built to GMP standards and have a high impact resistance.
Prior to this deal, Freesense was funded by Capnova, in 2016 upon its founding.
