Qvanti, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based provider of solutions for the hospitality industry announced that it acquired FreshX.

The deal has the financial details undisclosed and is part of Qvanti's intentions to invest in a European expansion, starting in the Nordic countries.

The two companies work with business systems for digital purchasing, inventory and analysis for hotels and restaurants. The merger doubles Qvanti's customer base while strengthening the company with additional IT expertise to secure the future.

FreshX, led by Andreas Jönsson and Anders Friman, has developed a business system for digital purchasing, inventory, spreadsheets that are linked to cash, where everything is updated in real time, which simplifies both purchasing and inventory. The app is linked to both the major suppliers and the smaller niche companies in, for example, meat, fish, coffee and vegetables. FreshX's customers include Gothia Towers, Swedish Brasseries, Nobis, Hard Rock Café to Sturehof and the Opera Cellar.

Freshx is backed by Swedish angel investor Johan Sahlstrand.

Qvanti, led by CEO Andreas Moene, provides services based on analyzing operations, streamlining purchases, operating costs and realizing the development potential of hotels and restaurants. This is mainly done by systematically building structures in the organization to avoid erroneous behavior such as orders outside the negotiated supplier agreements.
