GartenHaus secured funding from project A and 3i

GartenHaus, a Hamburg, Germany-based online retailer of gardening products, announced that it secured a capital raise transaction.

The money was raised from German VC Project A Ventures and included contribution from existing investor 3i.

GartenHaus, founded in 2002 by Sebastian Arendt and Olivier Renaux, sells garden houses, sheds, carports, terraces, saunas and other garden and home related products via their local online shops. In 2019, the company generated just under 30 million euros in sales.

Earlier in 2020, the private equity group 3i acquired a major package in GartenHaus for £60m ($76.3M)
