GO Sharing in a €50 million round led by Opportunity Partners.
GO Sharing, an Utrecht, Netherlands-based transportation company, announced completing a €50 million ($60.3M) funding round.
The money was raised via GO green, the parent company of GO Sharing, from Opportunity Partners, Rabo Investments as well as its own founders. Proceeds will be used for international expansion.
GO Sharing, founded in 2019 by CEO CEO Raymon Pouwels, Doeke Boersma and Donny van den Oever, is an electric scooter provider operating a fleet of around 5,000 e-mopeds across 30 cities in The Netherlands, Belgium and Austria. Germany, the UK and Turkey will be added to the service area over the coming months.
GO Sharing will also use the investment to convert its current service into a multimodal shared mobility program. The company’s efforts to expand its offerings with e-bikes and electric cars are in an advanced stage. Sister company GreenMo, which in the previous months acquired a majority stake in the Dutch start-up e-bike to go and took over the Belgian company zZoomer, will support GO Sharing in the expansion. The company already leases more than 10,000 e-bikes in the delivery market.
