Gofido secured SEK 7 million.

Gofido, a Stockholm, Sweden-based insurance startup, announced that it secured a funding round of SEK 7M ($850k).

The money was raised from new and existing investors whose name was not disclosed. The fundraise is part of a larger company effort to secure working capital of SEK 30M.

Gofido was founded in 2019 by a group of former employees of the local company Avanza, namely Claes Hemberg, Annika Saramies (CEO) Stefan Mahlstein and Gertrud Hack. They put together a insurance brokerage operation, selling mainly home insurance products - the company is also under the supervision of Finansinspektionen in accordance with the Act on Insurance Distribution.

Prior to this round, Gofido raised almsot $1 million in 2020.
