Golf GameBook to raise €3 million from angel investors from Finland and Sweden.
Golf GameBook, an Espoo, Finland-based software startup operating a mobile app for golfers, announced that it raised a €3 million ($3.3M) capital funding round.
The money was raised from multiple angel investors from Sweden and Finland, including Carl Manneh, founder of Minecraft; Fredrik Österberg, co-founder of Evolution; Rustan Panday, investor of Storytel; Martti Aarnio-Wihuri, board member of Wihuri Group; and Pii Ketvel, CEO of MARCOL Capital Europe.
Golf GameBook, founded in 2010 by CEO Mikko Manerus, developed a mobile application for people who play golf, supporting 25 different game formats and allowing them to connect and share live results, comments, photos and videos. The company claims to have 1 million registered users, half of which from the Nordic countries.
