Grandhood, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup working on a digital product providing an alternative pension fund service, announced securing DKK 20M ($3.2M) in capital investment.

The funding comes from Danish and international investors, including Sunstone Capital, Speed Invest and SEED Capital and will be used to further accelerate the growth of the company's business.

Grandhood, founded in 2017 by Mathias Bredkjær, Jens Kam and Jon Lieberkind (CEO), developed a mobile application that provides an alternative saving solution for Danish retired people. The company targets the corporate pension market for small and medium-sized companies and already has 300 names on the waiting list of interested companies to use the product. Grandhood employs 10 people and made its product public in 2018.

Prior to this, Grandhood secured DKK 5M at the end of 2017, from SEED Capital and a number of local angel investors, including Morten Nilsson.
