Graphiq grabs NOK 2.9M to further develop an online marketplace for design work..

Graphiq, an Oslo, Norway-based startup working on an online marketplace for designers, secured NOK 2.9M ($350k) in equity investment.

The backers include local investors Anniken Fjelberg, Magnus Jepson, NewMark Capital and Sagene Tech Ventures and the money will be used to enhance the company product and further grow the business.

Graphiq, founded in 2015 by Jakob Palmers and Erik Sandsmark, developed a matchmaking service for companies looking for freelance designers. The company was bootstrapped with no developers in the team and has worked with clients including Microsoft, IBM and Telenor.

Prior to this, Graphiq received funds from 500 Nordics and Forskningsrådet.
