Henry secured $40 million in a round led by Edison Partners, Gaia Capital Partners, Citi Ventures and Muse Capital.

(Go)Henry, a London, UK-based startup providing financial services via a mobile application for kids, announced that it raised funding totalling $40 million.

The money was raised from a range of investors led by Edison Partners, and including contributions from Gaia Capital Partners, Citi Ventures (the strategic investment arm of Citi Bank), and Muse Capital.

Henry, founded in 2012 by CEO Alex Zivoder and Louise Hill, developed a mobile solution helping young people learn how to earn, save and spend responsibly. On top of that the company provides a pre-paid debit card with parental controls, and gives 8 to 18 year olds hands on experience of managing money within a safe environment.

Prior to this, the startup had raised about $30 million from friends, family, and via Crowdcube.
