Hiber announced raising $2.25 million from Luminar Ventures, Wild Sloths, Bumble Ventures, Sybo et all

Hiber, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based company operating a social game platform, announced getting into an investment agreement for securing $2.25 million in capital investment.

The funding was provided by a range of new and existing investors, including Luminar Ventures, Wild Sloths Oy, Bumble Ventures, Sybo, Konvoy Ventures, GFR Fund, and Rasmussen of Sweden.

Sybo CEO Mathias Gredal Nørvig has joined Hiber’s board of directors.

The money will be used to accelerate the development of its growing platform and to make key hires across its product and technology groups

Hiber, founded in 2017 by Michael Yngfors and Mattias Johansson, built Hiber World, a web platform that makes it easy to create user-generated games directly in a browser, without the need to code, as well as play a variety of games created by other users. Hiber World has about 300,000 games from 250,000 monthly active users.

Prior to this round, in 2019, Hiber raised $800k.
