Hungry Group secures considerable funding from existing investor Delivery Hero.

Hungry Group, an Aarhus, Denmark-based food marketplace, has raised DKK 30M ($4.32M) in a funding round supported by the existing investor, the German Delivery Hero.

The money will be used for fueling accelerated growth, in particular markets such as the Netherlands and Ireland, as well as for further development of the mobile product.

Hungry Group, founded in 2012 by CEO Morten Larsen, is a food delivery portal, with 4.250 restaurant partners. In 2013, the company sold a minority stake to Delivery Hero for a licence to use the technical platform of the Germans.
