Installion in a €4.1 million funding round led by Eneco Ventures.

Installion, a Cologne, Germany-based operator of a B2B marketplace for the construction and energy industry, announced the completion of a €4.1 million ($4.8M) funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by Eneco Ventures, which contributed with 3.2 million, and joined by existing seed investors Christoph Ostermann, Kai Howaldt and Bernhard Beck.

The proceeds will be used for further improvement of the software platform, as well as the nationwide expansion of 20 installer hubs.

Installion, founded in 2019 by CEO Till Pirnay and Florian Meyer Delpho, developed a digital matchmaking platform (an app) for B2B clients looking for the installation of solar PV, electricity storage, or e-mobility charging services. Installers are matched with business clients with just one click. Since 2020, Installion also commenced to set up installation hubs, to provide a tightly knit, reliable network of installation capacity, all over Germany. Eneco’s German daughter company Lichtblick is one of the users of the Installion’s services.

The company says it handles business for over 350 clients (among them leading utilities, large sales organizations, manufacturers, etc.) representing roughly 70 percent of Germany ́s PV market, have successfully realized nearly 4500 projects with the help of Installion ́s software platform.
