Jula Group buys Hööks, Scandinavia's leading horse sports company.
Jula, a Skara, Sweden-based retailer, announced that it acquired Hööks, a Swedish retailer of horse sports equipment.
The deal, which has financial details undisclosed, was made with the majority owner Nalka Invest and other owners in the company. Nalka had acquired Hööks in 2014.
Hööks will continue to be an independent company in the Group with its head office in Borås.
Hööks, led by CEO Joachim Höök, operates both online and offline, from 53 stores in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the Nordic region. The company had sales of SEK 413 million last year and made a profit of SEK 18 million.
The Jula Group, led by CEO Karl-Johan Blank, had sales of around SEK 7 billion in 2018 and has a total of 99 department stores.
