Kitab Sawti raised $6 million in funding from Bonnier Ventures, Paltel Group, and Kaaf Investments

Kitab Sawti, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing audiobooks for the Arabic audience, announced closing a $6M capital investment round.

The money was provided by new and exisiting investors, including Bonnier Ventures, Inbox Capital, Paltel Group, Kaaf Investments, Northzone and Abdulla Elyas.

Kitab Sawti, founded in 2015 by CEO Sebastian Bond, was launched initially as a project to help Syrian refugees in Swedish schools. The company has offices in Stockholm, Dubai, Cairo, and Palestine and claims to provide the largest Arabic audiobook library, with over 2,000 audio books available to more than 1 million registered users.

Prior to this deal, Kitab Sawti raised $3.7M in outside capital.
