Klimato to raise SEK 6.5 million

Klimato, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup developing a SAAS for the food industry keeping track of the climate impact, announced closing in a SEK 6.5M ($760k) capital investment round.

The money was raised from local investors from Sweden, including the state-owned agency Almi Invest, which contributed with SEK 2.9M.

Klimato, founded in 2017 and led by CEO Anton Unger, has developed a user-friendly and cost-effective tool that enables restaurants to calculate, follow and communicate their climate impact. The tool is online-based helping a restaurant with insights about its climate footprint and how it develops over time, compare between different restaurant units, make changes to its menu and attract new climate-conscious customers.

The tool generates monthly and annual climate reports that restaurants can use to follow KPIs, set their own climate goals, report on sustainability and present to customers, employees and other stakeholders.

Customers include Sodexo, Bastard Burgers, Oh Poké and Debaser.

Klimato previously raised $270k in 2020.
