Leafymade secured funding from Coop Sverige.

Leafymade, an Uppsala, Sweden-based manufacturer of cutlery, announced that it secured a capital investment round.

The money was provided by the local grocery chain from Sweden Coop.

Leafymade, founded in 2018 by Meenu Choudhary, Suman Mehta and Vinh Hoang, makes natural, sustainable and biodegradable tableware that are made of leaves and offers a substitute to the conventional disposable paper plates. The company has a production unit in India and has products for sale in stores including ICA, Hemköp or Coop.

Leafymade was previously backed by Uppsala Innovation Holding and SLU.
