MB Rahastot becomes majority shareholder of Finnish solar energy system provider Pohjolan Energia.
Pohjolan Energia, an Oulu, FInland-based small-scale solar energy system provider announced getting into an agreement to sell a majority share package in the company to Finnish private equity investor MB Funds. The deal is made to further support Pohjolan's efforts to expand internationally.
The financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed and the current owners continue in key management roles and as significant shareholders in the company.
Pohjolan Energia, led by CEO Lasse Liimatta, operates and provides rooftop solar energy systems as a turnkey solution through its 15 sales offices across FInland. The company employs today more than 150 people and has reached €20 million net sales level.
