MedFilm raised SEK 3.2M in a new financing round for a Netflix for medical operations product.

MedFilm, a Trollhättan, Sweden-based startup developing a platform for recording and streaming medical operations, announced raising SEK 3.2M ($370k). The money was raised from 15 investors via Sciety, a crowdfunding platform based in Stockholm and focused on providing investment opportunities for health and life science companies.

MedFilm, founded in 2012 and led by CEO Erik Kylén, has developed a subscription-based platform for hospitals interested in recording and streaming their medical operations for patients. The company is working with more than 80 hospitals and recorded SEK 1.2M ($150k) in revenues in 2016.
