Minuendo raised NOK 50 million from DSD, Link Venture, Wallcross and MP Pensjon.

Minuendo, an Oslo, Norway-based manufacturer of an intelligent hearing protection that protects the user from noise, raised NOK 50 million ($5.3 million) in an equity funding round.

The money was raised locally from Norway, from investors including DSD, Link Venture, Wallcross and MP Pensjon.

Minuendo, founded in 2018 as a spinoff from Sintef in 2018 by CEO Stian Aldrin, Knut Håkon Breivik and Olav Kvaløy, produces ear protectors designed as small and light earplugs with technology that adapts to the noise of the surroundings. The product has lifelike reproduction of sound and can alert the user if there is a danger of hearing damage. In 2021, the company sold 7,000 earplugs for NOK 3.6 million ($400k).

Minuendo has seven employees and raised $1.6 million at the beginning of 2019 and NOK 40 million at the end of it.
