Mosa Meat to raise $10 million in a 3rd close of its Series B round backed by Nutreco and angel investor Jitse Groen.
Mosa Meat, a Maastricht, Netherlands-based food producer, announced securing an additional $10 million in capital funding.
Mosa Meat will use the funds to extend its current pilot production facility at its home in Maastricht, develop an industrial-sized production line, expand its team, and introduce delicious cultivated beef to consumers.
Mosa Meat was founded in 2015 by Mark Post and Peter Verstrate, who developed the world's first cultured meat hamburger back in 2013. The company has become a fully fledged cultured meat producer, developing food products in vitro cell culture of animal cells, instead of from slaughtered animals.
