Motto raises a €4 million seed round led by Cassius Family and Founders Future.

Motto, a Paris, France-based startup building a subscription service for e-bikes in urban areas, announced completing a seed funding round closed at €4 million ($4.4 million).

The money was raised from investors including Cassius Family and Founders Future, joined by local angel investors from France.

Motto, founded as Bloom in 2020 by CEO Driss Ibenmansour, is working to launch an e-bike subscription service in Paris. The bikes come in two models - step-over model and a low-step model - and have integrated lights, a GPS tracker, an anti-theft system and a removable battery. The service will be available for €75 per month and includes damage and theft insurance, as well as on-demand access to maintenance and repairs.

Motto was previously pre-seeded by angel investors in 2021.
