Move & Rent raises €1.8M from Fair/e, Pays de la Loire Participations, Atlantique Vendée Innovation and Actantiel Développement.
Move & Rent, a Saint-Nazaire, France-based operator of a furniture rental service, announced completing a financing round of €1.8M ($2.2M).
The money was raised from a range of investors from France, including the family office Fair/e, the regional fund Pays de la Loire Participations (led by Siparex), Atlantique Vendée Innovation (Crédit Agricole Atlantique Vendée), Actantiel Développement and its banking partners.
With this fundraising, Move & Rent has set itself the objective of accelerating its development in order to ensure leadership in France. The funds raised also make it possible to launch a deployment in the Netherlands with a first-rate partner: IKEA. Move & Rent will deploy all of its know-how within IKEA's stores from March 2021.
Move & Rent, founded in 2012 as Location pour étudiants by Stéphane Darcel and Stéphanie Soret, offers a rental service for new furniture, including delivery, assembly, installation and return of products.
