NA-KD gets new investors

NA-KD, the Göteborg, Sweden-based fashion retailer, added new investors to its shareholding structure. The new shareholders are the American fund FJLabs, which recently also was part of an investment round in Swedish Fishbrain, as well as the local investors Jonas Nordlander and Filip Engelbert.

The deal was made through the purchase of shares from existing shareholders, as the founder and principal owner, operational key employees or any of the major shareholders didnot sell their shares in this business.

NA-KD, founded by Jarno Vanhatapio, is one the high-growth ecommerce startups from Scandinavia, having been becoming operational in December 2015 and getting a year after that at annual net revenues of 22MEUR (220 MSEK), and sales to over 140 countries.

The company raised bout $20M in venture money, with backers including eEquity, Northzone and a range of local private investors.
