Neuro Event Labs grabs EUR 1.9M, wants to expand internationally its SAAS for medical treatments.

Neuro Event Labs, a Tampere, Finland-based company providing a SAAS product helping doctors by assisting to diagnose epilepsy through video monitoring, announced securing EUR 1.9M in funding.

The money comes from local stakeholders, including state-owned Business Finland (EUR 1.3M), its sales distributor OmaMedical (EUR 100k) and venture investment firm Maki VC (EUR 500k) and will be used to actively build expansion to international markets.

Neuro Event Labs, founded in 2015 and led by CEO Kaapo Annala, developed a product that monitors via video epilepsy patients at home and in hospital. The epilepsy seizure data is collected, analyzed and relayed to the patient’s physician, who makes individual treatment decisions based on the reports.
