NoMy, an Oslo, Norway-based alternative food startup, announced that it raised a capital funding round.

The money was raised from local investors from Norway, including We are Human, TRK, StartupLab Founders and Geir Førre via Firda.

NoMy - Norwegian Mycelium AS - founded in 2020 by Ingrid Dynna and David Andrew Quis, is an R&D company working with future green materials, new foods and sustainable feeds by harnessing the untapped potential of fungal mycelium. The company says it aims to use fungi as an ingredient for creating foods and materials such as new meat alternatives, new bio-composites and new protein sources - all from mycelium (the root-like filaments of fungi). NoMy says their approach includes locally produced, using local resources, with no agricultural land and no chemicals.

Total investments received (USD): 4.15M
