NutraQ was acquired by Orkla for NOK 3.1bn.
NutraQ, an Oslo, Norway-based supplier of subscription-based health and beauty products in the Nordic region, announced that it was acquired by the Norwegian food holding company Orkla.
The deal was made with existing shareholders - the investment company Impilo and Sana Pharma Holding - which agreed on a purchase price that values NutraQ at NOK 3.1 billion ($366M) at enterprise value.
NutraQ AS, led by CEO Gustaf Solerød Christensen, was established in 2017 through the merger of several entities controlled by Sana Pharma Group. The origin of NutraQ dates back to 2002 when the first product VitaePro was launched, which today remains the company’s most sold product.
The company currently has approximately 410k active subscriptions which produced a revenue of NOK 862 million ($102M) in 2020 and EBITDA of NOK 188 million ($22M).
