Penta to raise €18.5 million in a round co-led by RTP Global and HV Holtzbrinck Ventures

Penta, a Berlin, Germany-based developer of a corporate banking platform, announced an €18.5 million ($21.7M) financing round.

The round was co-led by new investor RTP Global and existing investor HV Holtzbrinck Ventures Adviser GmbH, and backed by existing strategic investor FinLeap GmbH. ABN Amro Ventures and VR Ventures Management GmbH also contributed to the round.

As part of the transaction Alex Pavlov from RTP Global, Barbod Namini of HV Holtzbrinck, and Michael Hock of FinLeap will join Penta's board of directors.

Penta, founded in 2017 by CEO Marko Wenthin, is a digital platform for business banking aimed at SMEs and startups.
