Pilloxa, a Stockholm, Sweden-based consumer tech medical company, announced the completion of a $1.3M capital investment raise.

The funding was provided by Swedish investors, including Bonnier Ventures, which led the round.

Pilloxa, founded in 2015 by Francesco Mazzotta (CEO), Per Nilsson and Helena Rönnqvist, developed a patient centric adherence platform consisting of smart hardware, tailored smartphone apps, data visualization and analytics.

The Pilloxa platform provides individualized support and feedback to the user to make it easier to take medication and is currently in use by pharmaceutical companies Bayer (cardiovascular) and Sandoz/Novartis (transplantation).

Prior to this round, Pilloxa raised about $1M from a range of angel investors from Sweden.
