PlayPlay is a €47M series B round led by Insight Partners.
PlayPlay, a Paris, France-based software company developing a video creation tool for people active in communnication, marketing and social media, announced raising €47 million ($53.3M) series B.
The money was raised from investors led by Insight Partners, and joined by existing investors Balderton Capital adn Point Nine Capital.
PlayPlay, founded in in 2017 by Thibaut Machet, Aurélien Dayres and Clément Moracin (all ex-Eurosport), developed a software tool used for video creation helping comms professionals produce high-quality videos in minutes combining tools with high-quality graphics and design templates to allow people and brands to build bespoke, professional video content for all platforms. Its motion design technology and templates allow users to build videos from scratch, either with their own footage or by using its library of stock photos and videos. Clips can be trimmed and moved via on-screen tools and animated text can be added to frames at the press of a button.
Prior to this round, PlayPlay raised €10 million series A led by Balderton in 2020.
