Ridesum gets into Sting Accelerate, raises $600k

Ridesum, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup developing a digital platform service connecting horseback riders, trainers and experts, announced securing a SEK 5.3M ($550k) capital investment round.

The funding was provided by Swedish investor Zenith Ventures, and included angel investors Fredric Gunnarson, CEO at Star Stable, and Lisen Bratt Fredricson, an equestrian who was part of the Swedish Olympics. Part of the capital raise was Propel Capital, which contributed with money as part of Ridesum's joining Sting Accelerate in the summer of 2019.

Ridesum, founded in 2018 by CEO Jenny Stråhle, built a mobile app for accessing a database of horse trainers and experts, who can be booked for training sessions based on a submitted video, live sessions or via video streaming.
